2025

Hello Readers,

We are going to end year 2024 and start year 2025 with some predictable thoughts because today’s technology is changing very fast and if we don’t keep up with that technology, we are likely to fall behind. As a human it is very hard to predict clear future but as a human we can keep our scoreboard updated. The technology is accelerating rapidly, matching or exceeding human capabilities in many testing tasks as we exit 2024 so today we are discussing on some predications which may happen in 2025. The next year will bring more transformation to quality assurance than we’ve seen in the past decade.

AI is always first in the game

AI is at least 10X faster, and 100X less expensive than human labor — if AI might do it soon, you should be doing something different.

The integration of AI into the QA processes opened up a new frontier trend. The latest research shows that nearly 8 out of 10 software testers now use AI to enhance their productivity.

In the next decade, our AI technologies will become more complicated and advanced. This will boost the AI-driven QA solutions to become even more precise and automated for testing the speed and quality of software.

Hiring Process

In anticipation of the value of AI — people budgets will be cut and start converting to AI budgets — The Hiring process also going to change or will start to change in year 2025.

Everyday AI is automating more jobs. Experts predict that AI will replace full-time careers in 2025 — reducing the number of jobs and creating a greater reliance on gig employment and freelancers. AI has been in the wild wild west for the last couple of years. We’ve gone from fears of the invasion of artificial intelligence (AI) replacing our jobs in 2023 to business leaders observing that AI is shrinking an already competitive job market in 2024.

But the expert consensus is that AI is a tool to help workers be more efficient, not to disrupt employment rates as much as people believe, according to Jae Gardner, director of operations at Redrob. “If anything, it will expand a company’s workforce, but probably more globally.

Hybrid Testers

As we bid farewell to 2024, the main agenda for tech is what will happen in 2025. A new role like ‘hybrid testers’ may emerge in 2025. Hybrid testers for manual and automation with AI may bring a different kind of thing in 2025. Today we do manual testing with the help of multiple tools and also embrace automation testing with tools like Selenium, Cypress and Playwright. 2025 could be a game changer for these tools and AI may transform these tools or may be new tool will join the community to make its presence felt in these tools.

Testing AI

Competent testing of AI will become the most important area of core AI research — and all those researchers will have to relearn what testers already know.

Self-healing tools are gradually becoming the norm in QA automation, addressing the problem of maintaining tests.

Blockchain networks need to handle high volumes of transactions and automated tools can simulate these high transactional volumes to find bottlenecks.

AI Code Quality

The key benchmark for AI Code generation will transition from functionality and speed — to quality in real world conditions. Speed is great for a demo, quality is needed for production and the business.

Today, everyone is using tools like ChatGPT, Gemini or coPilot. QA or Developer is taking help to generate syntax based code and also take help to find better solution. In 2025, code quality will play a major role because speed, your ideas and the quality of scripting code will not be accepted, so everyone’s attention has shifted to what can be new. Because now we have the recipe of the food and everything is ready on the table, we have the method of making it, but whether it is tasty or not and is it sustainable? That picture will be of 2025 and AI will not decide that in any case.

Quick wave of Promotions

AI adopters will promoted, even before ROI, at the expense of others.

By 2025, AI will transform digital marketing with personalized content, predictive insights, optimized ads, and efficient chatbots, enabling brands to connect deeply with customers. Generative AI will streamline content creation, while predictive analytics will help brands anticipate trends.

AI-powered resume screening is first step of shortlisting. Based on the skills, qualifications, and attributes required for the role that the organization is hiring for, AI-powered resume screening solutions will be able to identify and rank the right candidates based on their relevance. This speeds up the entire hiring process and makes it more inclusive by eliminating unconscious biases related to the candidate’s age, gender, and other factors.

Another key trend that we see in recruitment is video interview analysis. More and more organizations will make use of AI to gather insights about the candidate’s responses and behaviors to evaluate their suitability for the role.

One of the key AI trends that we’ll see in the realm of core HR practices is the use of AI in compliance management.

Fatigue of many tools and services in Development and QA

Now, most developers and QA have started using AI integrated tools. Nowadays, developers and QA have to stay updated with everything and since things are constantly changing in technology and not every tool supports the project in the organization, so they have to learn different things from time to time and there is a little doubt whether they will use it in the next project or not. There is some hope for this in 2025 because AI has the power to completely change this, so a good change is definitely expected for developers and QA. New roles will emerge just to ensure the creation and application of AI comples with new legal regulations.

Final Verditct

I understand the skepticism. Change can be uncomfortable, especially when it challenges established practices. But these predictions aren’t born from optimism or self-interest — they’re based on clear technological trends and shifts we are already seeing across the industry. This transformation isn’t optional — and the time to prepare was yesterday.

Increased Focus on Shift-Left Testing, The Growth of Hyper Automation Testing, Green Computing, The Rise and changes in quick End-to-End APIs were some examples.

To stay relevant and competitive, QA and development teams need to be aware of these trends and must adopt the corresponding tools and strategies as they emerge.

Of all the trends influencing QA, AI is going to be one of the most transformative because it will change how we conduct, how we implement and how we gain. Product teams will become much more effective and efficient by leveraging AI.

Bradshaw asserts that the demand for technical AI skills is only going to increase, but he insists that as we see more people adopt and experiment with AI in their personal and professional lives, the behavioral skills required to truly embrace AI at work are going to be extremely valuable and sought after by employers.

He believes the fear factor will decrease as workers become more familiar with the uses of AI. “Learning about and using new AI tools and being able to recognize and seize opportunities to leverage AI for improvement are just two of seven measurable skills that indicate an individual’s ability to effectively utilize AI tools.”

AI will change whole world and change is part of everyone life. We can adopt the changes by sharing the information and adopting the same. Share your experiences with us!!!

Keep reading and keep testing.

Thank you so much.

I wish this year is great year for all and technology will change for better.

Wish you happy new year to all readers.
