Is ISTQB required for any QA/SDET ??

Today, I am writing a blog after a long time due to some important professional and personal commitments. But last week a question was asked by some students who want to consider QA as a career, Is certification like ISTQB necessary for QA? so he will get a job after certification is done?
I thought it’s been a long time since I have not found time to write a blog and today if we have some time let’s start blogging again about this topic and try to answer.
ISTQB
When choosing which ISTQB certification to study for, think about how relevant it is to your current project or how it will help you to advance your career in the quality assurance field. One of the best things about ISTQB is that all study materials for each module and level are available online. So even if you’re not ready to sit the exam or simply want to do your research first to see what fits your needs best, you can do this too. Once you’re ready, you can apply to sit the exam, become an ISTQB certified QA engineer, and validate your skills and move forward in your career.
Is certification like ISTQB necessary for QA?
The answer to this question is a bit diplomatic because I can’t say on any basis that any kind of certification is not important because certification is a window to start professional life for any freshers. Today, let’s look a little deeper into this topic. No one will understand what QA does by just doing ISTQB or any kind of certification in the market because QA work is less from books and more from experience. QA requires a specific mindset without which it cannot explore the product and find issues. Any fresher who wants to explore QA as a career can get a certification like ISTQB but more than that he should try for an internship in a company or meet a QA who has 4–5 years of experience as a QA that will more helpful for him. After getting the certificate you understand what QA must be in the company but in real-time different problems keep coming up every day so short internships or meeting people in the company will give you some ideas and it will give you a good start to your professional life. You will start thinking about it and this is an important skill of QA.
If you try you will definitely get a job but will that job help you till the end of your life or will the certification help you stay in your job? The answer to most experienced people would be no because you need to keep your skills updated to stay on the job because today’s job market requires real hard work which a tool like Microsoft’s chat-gpt or google’s new coming tool can’t do.
Decision Time
Certification is a way to enter the job market but if you try to get an internship with a company, your market entry will be boosted.
Today every person can get everything online by using it you can get a lot of knowledge and after getting a job some companies help their employees for certification and its certification is fast because they have knowledge about it.
Go for knowledge before certification.
